When semantic HTML, meaningful headings, logical reading order, and appropriate language metadata are implemented correctly, screen readers can interpret the content more effectively.

Fixed-layout EPUBs preserve precise positioning, which can be important for illustrated books, children’s publications, comics, and complex page designs. However, visual positioning does not automatically provide a meaningful reading sequence.
